Push ‘Em Up Jill

collaboration with Angus Gill and Bill Whyte from Nashville to deliver some love to nurses and all their hard work.

New Music from Rae Leigh - Push Em Up Jill

Description

Rae Leigh gets cheeky with her new single ‘Push Em’ Up Jill’. A comedy country song about a nurse from the 70’s that came about from a music festival in Queensland and a common love for country music, nurses and their sense of humour and what women have and how they use it.

This is Rae’s debut comedy country song showing us the lighter side of her personality that she picked up from her mum who was a midwife for 35 years and age care nurse for 15+ years till present.

“My mum was a nurse growing up and she always had a great sense of humour to help get through the up’s and downs of being a nurse, it’s a hard job and i have a lot of appreciation for men and women who dedicate their life to such an essential job” - Rae Leigh

“Funny, irreverent and musically clever… This track will get noticed. As an artist Rae Leigh is happy to take chances and it works for her”

- Allan Caswell

‘Push ‘Em Up Jill’ is everything a song should be.. entertaining in the extreme, but a subtext recognising the strength of sexuality, and how easily it can be misconstrued in contemporary society.. Rae Leigh writes from a well-informed perspective with the perfect alchemy of feminine rights and current social mores.. basically, if you don’t get how good this is, you may want to recalibrate..’

- James Blundell

“In the times we’ve been going through, I think we need a smile or a laugh more than ever now and Push ‘Em Up Jill is pure fun! Rae told Bill Whyte and I a true story that a fan told her about when she used to work as a nurse and it cracked us up. It was a hoot working on this with Rae.”

- Angus Gill
